About Auto-Refresh/Kiosk Mode
CoolPlanetOS dashboards can be used as a display on screens, tablets or projectors. In this mode, a dashboard will automatically refresh every 5 minutes when you are on the screen.
Where to find the setting
You will find the Auto-refresh toggle switch beside the date selector at the top of your dashboard.
I don't see the toggle switch, why not?
We have automatically limited the use of the toggle to date and time selections that make sense to refresh. For example, if you have selected a specific time period (from January 1st to January 5th) then there isn't a logical reason to use refresh because the data will never change. Similarly, from the set of predefined time slices, if you choose "last week" then refreshing the data every 5 minutes will not result in new data.
Conversely, if you choose "Today" or "This Week" - then the data is subject to change every 5 minutes and we will show you the toggle switch.
Important
The dashboard will only refresh when you are on the page, we will not refresh it in the background, if you navigate away from the page we will toggle the setting off. The dashboard does refresh in the background
