Have you ever created a widget on a dashboard that summarises key information and you would like an easy way to deep-dive into another dashboard for more information?

You can now do that easily by linking to another dashboard from the widget properties panel.

When you are in the dashboard that you want to link from the steps as as follows:

  • Put the dashboard in "Edit" Mode (pencil symbol on the top right of the dashboard).

  • This will allow you to access the widget settings (the "cog" symbol).

  • Select the dashboard you wish to link to in the dropdown in the "Link Dashboard" box.

  • Save the changes to the widget by clicking on the "Apply Customisation" button.

  • Save the dashboard (top right)

  • For the widget you just edited, in view mode, you now see the link symbol (πŸ”—)

  • When you click on this link in the widget your linked dashboard will open in a new window).

Below is a short video to show you the steps to follow to add a linked dashboard to a widget

Note! Only new format dashboards (created using workbooks) are supported!
