Using the skill levels in Cinode is a good way of indicating your seniority within a particular field.
Skills are displayed based on the competencies added from your assignments and their corresponding ratings. Manual reordering of skills is not supported.
Choose a skill level
We use the definitions as defined by The Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency (Swedish: Kammarkollegiet).
You can reach the definition from Cinode while you add a skill. Click on the 'info' button.
Skill level definitions
Below is a summary of each skill level as defined by Kammarkollegiet. Each level is described across two dimensions: Role (your overall professional standing) and Techniques, tools, methods and processes (your hands-on proficiency with a specific skill).
- No level
A skill without a level will not be available on the CVs you create in Cinode.
1 - Elementary competence
Role: Recently trained within the field. Shorter occupational experience with no prior experience in the field as a consultant. Requires guidance and is able to carry out easier tasks independently.
Techniques, tools, methods and processes: Recently trained within the field. Higher education or other relevant experience. Requires guidance and is able to carry out easier tasks independently.
2 - Average competence
Role: Has training within the field and handles a certain level of difficulty. 1-3 years of experience as a consultant within the field, having participated in or executed a number of similar assignments. Requires limited management and can independently carry out defined tasks.
Techniques, tools, methods and processes: Has training within the field and handles a certain level of difficulty. Has practiced the skill in an assignment. Requires limited management and can independently carry out defined tasks.
3 - High competence
Role: High competence within the field. 4-8 years as a consultant within the field, serving as a role model for lower-skilled consultants. Has been at level 2 for at least 2 years. Can bear responsibility for a sub-area, can lead smaller groups, and can work independently.
Techniques, tools, methods and processes: High competence within the field. Has practiced the skill in several assignments and is comfortable adopting the technology. Works independently and can support fellow colleagues within the field.
4 - Very high competence
Role: High general knowledge or very high knowledge within the field. Has participated in large assignments and completed them with very high quality output. Reached earliest after 9-12 years as a consultant within the field, having been at level 3 for at least 2 years. Takes main responsibility for managing a larger group and has a high degree of independence.
Techniques, tools, methods and processes: High general knowledge or very high knowledge within the field. Has practiced the skill for several years across several different environments and assignments. Works independently and can lead and develop colleagues within the field.
5 - Expert within field
Role: Competence of the highest degree within the field, recognized as an expert or guru in the community. As level 4, but has been at level 4 for at least three years. Has great experience and knowledge suitable for a leading position, with a high degree of independence.
Techniques, tools, methods and processes: Competence of the highest degree within the field, recognized as an expert or guru in the community. Has practiced the skill continuously for several years across several different environments and assignments at a depth recognized as expert or guru level. Can educate, lead and actively train new colleagues.
