Idle session timeout

Updated over a week ago

Info

This feature is only available with a Standard plan subscription. Visit the Subscriptions menu to manage your plan.

Idle session timeout automatically logs out users after a period of inactivity. This security feature protects your company's data by preventing unauthorized access to unattended sessions.

The system tracks user activity through mouse movements and clicks within the CargoX browser tab—actions outside the tab do not count. For users with multiple tabs open, the system only considers a session inactive when there's no activity in any tab. After the specified period of inactivity, the user is automatically logged out and shown a message explaining why. To continue working, users must log in again. This timeout policy applies to everyone in the company, including administrators.

Step-by-step guide to enable idle session timeout:

1. Access settings

Navigate to the gear icon (⚙) | Company Security | Idle session timeout.
