Please note that adding a blockchain key to your account is a one-time action. In the future, you will only need to use the blockchain key you have created during this process to confirm transactions.
Steps to set up your personal digital signature (blockchain key):
1. Start the process
a. To add a new blockchain key to your account go to the gear icon (⚙) | Blockchain keys and click the gray Add new blockchain key button.
b. If you have not yet added your blockchain key to your account, you will have the opportunity to do so the first time you need to digitally sign actions with it. To proceed, click on the Create blockchain key button.
2. Create password
Set up your encryption password for your blockchain key. Repeat the same blockchain key password again to avoid any mistakes and click Next to continue.

If you want to use an existing blockchain key option click on the I Already have a blockchain key. Choose between the other blockchain key options and follow the onscreen procedure to finish adding the existing blockchain key to your CargoX account.
3. Download
Download the generated blockchain key file and store it in a safe place.
Once you have downloaded your blockchain key file successfully and stored it in a safe location, confirm this by clicking the checkbox and then click Next to continue.

If for some reason you can’t download the key, use the I am unable to download files option and click the green Copy to clipboard button. Make sure you paste the copied text into a text document on your computer and save + store the file in a safe place.
4. Prepare
Click on the gray Choose file button and choose the file or paste the blockchain key text you have saved in a safe place in Step 3. Enter the blockchain key password you set up in Step 2 and click on the green Prepare and add blockchain key button.
5. Add
Success
Wait a few seconds and a confirmation sign will appear on your screen.
Warning
Only the first blockchain key under a newly created company is automatically approved by CargoX. If it is not the first blockchain key under a given company, then such key will need to be approved by your company administrator before you can start using it. All users with proper permissions within the company account will receive a notification reminding them that they can review and approve the newly added blockchain key. You will receive an email once your blockchain key has been activated.
