Requirement
Page 2 – Data Processing
At least two groups of persons OR at least two data categories within a group of persons have been selected.
Division of data according to data category or group of persons
Go to Page 4 – Retention & Deletion Periods (or Page 3 “Recipients” when defining recipients).
In the Data Categories section, you will see all categories previously selected.
By default, one retention period applies to all listed data categories.
If you want to treat certain categories differently, you must separate them from the shared selection. To do this, deactivate the option
“Add all data categories listed in step 2.”Then remove the data category you want to treat separately (for example “Third parties / image and video data”).
The software will now recognize that no retention period has been defined for this category yet and display a notification.
Click “Add new retention period.”
Scroll down. You can now define a specific retention period for this data category.
Note
This allows you to define different retention periods or recipients for individual data categories or groups of persons.
The same logic also applies on Page 3 “Recipients” if recipients need to be documented differently.
Creating subgroups within a data category is currently not supported.
