Groups can be used to set up courses (i.e. SNC1W), sections of courses (i.e. SNC1W - 001) or to to differentiate instruction (i.e. SNC1W - MLLs). To create a group, go to Binogi's teacher site and select the "Groups" tab:

Click "Add a group".

Then, follow the prompts. First, you will need to name your group. Next, you can add students. Please note: students must have a Binogi account before they can be added to a group.

Adding students to groups can be done by searching for individual student names or by selecting students from an existing class.

If you are adding students from an existing class, but not all of the students should be in the group, you can delete students who should not be part of the group by clicking on the x.

Then, you need to decide if the group is Private (visible only to you) or Public (visible to other teachers at your school). Please note: after the group is created, you cannot change the visibility.

The final step is to click "Add group". Now, you are ready to create an assignment for the students in your group.
