The Word Cloud activity lets your participants send keywords or emojis in response to a question or theme. These contributions appear in real time as a visual cloud: the more a word is submitted, the bigger it grows and the more it moves toward the center of the slide, revealing the most frequently submitted ideas.
How do I add a Word Cloud activity?
To add a Word Cloud activity to your session:
Click Add a slide at the top left of your session.
Select Word Cloud from the list of available activities.
The activity is integrated into your presentation; it is saved automatically and appears as a slide in the navigation bar on the left. An editing panel appears automatically on the right-hand side of your screen.
How do I customize the activity?
Title and Instructions: customize the activity's title and, if needed, add instructions to guide participants.
Activity format: allow participants to send multiple contributions, or limit them to a single one. You can also allow the same contribution to be submitted multiple times.
Presentation settings: enable moderation to accept or reject each contribution before it's shared, and display the number of submitted words live.

How do participants take part in the activity?
Participants type their word in the space provided at the bottom of the screen and click Send to see it appear in the cloud.
How do you view results with Pollen Focus?
The Pollen Focus AI analysis enriches the results and makes them clearer:
Grouped Words: the AI analysis groups similar words and corrects spelling or typing errors to improve readability
Key Themes: the AI analysis identifies the main themes emerging from the contributions and highlights them with color codes
Sentiment: the AI analysis assesses the sentiment behind each contribution and shows it with distinct colors (positive, neutral or negative)
How do you manage the activity?
In the slide editor, on the left, you can:
Edit the activity settings
Duplicate the slide
Delete the activity if you no longer need it
Alternatively, click the "Edit" button in the toolbar on the right side of the session.
From the slide, at the top right, you can:
Start the activity
Stop it
1- Reset it, to erase all contributions to this activity
💡Good to know
Beekast is responsive: on mobile view, the word cloud won't display on screen, but it's still possible to take part in the activity by submitting an idea.
