Add a Ranking Activity

  • Click Add a slide, at the top left of your session.

  • Search for and select Ranking.

The activity is integrated into your presentation; it is saved automatically and appears as a slide in the navigation bar on the left. An editing panel appears automatically on the right-hand side of your screen.

Customize the Title and Instructions

  • Edit the activity's default title.

  • Add instructions (optional).

Choose the Activity Format

Two formats are available:

  • Evaluation: participants earn points by ranking the propositions correctly.

  • Survey: you want to find out participants' preferences, with no right or wrong answer.

Add Your Propositions

  • Enter your propositions: the order in which you save them is the correct answer.

  • Change the order by clicking and holding the dots or the numbers.

  • Add an extra proposition via + Add a proposition.

  • The icons to the right of the propositions let you add an image or delete a proposition.

In Survey format, you can make answers anonymous.

In Evaluation format, participants can no longer change their answer once it has been submitted.

  2. Edit the activity.

  3. Duplicate the activity.

  4. Delete the activity.

Alternatively, click the "Edit" button in the toolbar on the right side of the session.

Understand the Survey Results

In Survey format, each proposition receives a number of points based on the position in which it was ranked.

For example, with three propositions A, B, and C:

  • Ranking A-C-B: A gets 3 points, C gets 2 points, B gets 1 point.

  • Ranking B-A-C: B gets 3 points, A gets 2 points, C gets 1 point.

The proposition with the most points ranks at the top of the final results. In case of a tie, the propositions concerned share the same place.

Track Scores and the Podium

  • In Evaluation format, one point is awarded per correct answer, zero otherwise.

  • Scores are visible to presenters and participants via the My score button, at the top of the screen, next to the Results button.

  • Click the trophy icon to display the overall podium: individual ranking and team ranking if teams have been created.

  • To view scores across the whole session, use the Present button at the top right, to access the projection screen.

To learn more about how points are calculated, see the scoring systems article.
