The Search and Filter tools in Beacon allow you to quickly locate specific shipments, orders, or data across the platform. These features are especially helpful when you need to find a particular shipment or group of shipments without manually browsing through the entire platform.
Using the Search Function
The Search bar is located at the top of the platform and enables you to search for specific data points across the entire platform. You can search by:
Container number
Order number (PO)
Carrier name
Consignee or Shipper name
Other shipment details
To search for something, simply type the term or number you're looking for into the search bar and hit Search. The platform will display all results matching your query, including any relevant shipment details.
Using the Filter Function
The Filter option allows you to refine your search results and focus on specific criteria. Filters are available across different sections of the platform (e.g., shipments, orders, containers) and include the following options:
Shipment status (e.g., in transit, arrived, gated out full)
Date range (e.g., shipments from last week or a specific month)
Carrier (e.g., to view shipments from a specific carrier)
Shipment mode (e.g., ocean, air, road)
Destination country
Port of origin
To apply filters:
Select the Filters located on the left hand side.
Choose the filter categories you want to apply.
Once the filters are applied, the platform will automatically update the list of results to match your criteria.
You can use multiple filters at once to narrow down your search results further.

If you want to start fresh with a new search or remove applied filters:
Click the Clear All button located in the filter menu.
Or, simply delete the current search term in the search bar and press Enter to reset.
This will clear any filters you've applied and allow you to search again.
