Boost Your Income and Enhance Your Guests' Experience

Adding extra services to your accommodations not only enriches your guests' experience but also helps you increase income and optimize your daily work. From this module, you can configure, manage, and automate all the extras so they apply to each booking without needing to repeat the process for each accommodation.

What Can You Do with Extras and Services?

  • Set custom prices and conditions: free or paid, optional or mandatory.

  • Define if the price applies per person, per booking, per day, etc.

  • Display the extras on your website or use them internally only.

  • Bulk edit already created extras to update them across all accommodations.

  • Associate suppliers responsible for providing the service.

How to Configure an Existing Extra

  1. Go to the menu Accommodations → Short-term Rentals → Extras.

  2. Select the extra you want to activate or modify.

  3. Set the price, VAT, and application conditions.

  4. Indicate if it will be visible on the web or for internal use only.

  5. Click "Save" to apply the changes to all accommodations.

Helpful Tip

Activate the most common extras in the general list (e.g., cleaning, crib, or parking). If an accommodation needs different conditions, customize them directly in its profile.

Create a New Extra or Service

  1. From the extras list, click "Create New".

  2. Enter the name, description, and conditions.

  3. Define the price measure (per booking, per person, per day, etc.).

  4. If you want to display it on your web, request activation from the customer service team. The status will appear as "Pending Activation".

  5. Once validated, you can choose an icon to display it on the Tourist Intranet.

Attention to Details

  • If you use measures like €/hour, €/liter, €/kW, or €/m³, the price will be for information only. You must manually enter the total amount when closing the stay.

  • The "Quantity" field indicates how many times the service has been provided, not the duration or consumption.

Portal Compatibility

Not all portals accept all types of extras. Check the extras and services compatibility table (link pending) before configuring them to avoid errors and ensure the best integration.

Best Practices

  • Define mandatory extras (e.g., final cleaning) so they are always included.

  • Use optional extras to differentiate your offer: airport transfer, bottle of wine, spa access.

  • Periodically review prices to keep them updated and competitive.

  • Perform this quick checklist before publishing an extra:

    • Clear name and description

    • Defined price and measure

    • VAT configured

    • Condition (mandatory or optional)

    • Application season

    • Visibility (web or internal)

    • Portal compatibility verified

Now you know how to configure and create extras in VRMS. The next step is to check compatibility with your main portals to ensure everything displays as you wish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change the name of an already created extra in VRMS?

Yes. However, if the extra is active on your website, you will need to contact the customer service team to update it.

How is VAT applied to extras configured in VRMS?

VAT is automatically added to the total booking amount. It cannot be modified from the booking, only from the configuration of the corresponding extra.

What happens if I create an extra with consumption measures, like €/hour or €/liter?

In those cases, the price will be for information only. You must manually enter the total amount when closing the stay.

Can I display all configured extras on my website?

Not necessarily. You can decide if an extra will be visible to tourists on your website or if it will be used internally for management only.

Why doesn't a configured extra appear on an external portal?

The type of extra may not be compatible with that portal. Check the compatibility table to verify which extras each platform accepts and how to configure them correctly.
