Adding Notes in Atlas eMAR
Notes can be used to share information about a resident, medication, or the unit. They can be placed on different pages where most relevant.
Clinical notes can be set to appear whenever a resident’s record or medication is viewed. This helps highlight key care details, such as:
“Jim often spits out his medicine.”
“Edith takes medicines on a spoon.”
“Dorothy was tearful this morning.”
“Apply cream to left leg if inflamed.”
“Permission given to administer medicine covertly.”
Notes may show in the resident list, at patient or medication level, or as logs. Pop‑up notes display automatically; log notes do not.
To add a note at a medication level follow this process:
Log in, select View Residents, then choose the resident.
2. Click the Note icon.
3. Select Add Note
4. Select from the dropdown list which medication you would like to add a note to.
5. Select automatically display as a pop up or Add note to logs but do not display as a pop up. Then enter in the text box your note.
Then select Complete.
Here you are able to see the details of the new note added linked to medication as a pop up. The note will remain until removed by selecting the - symbol.
