There are 2 processes for onboarding a Titan/Atlas pharmacy. This process is for a pharmacy who have never used CAPA and are going straight to Titan/Atlas.
In both cases the recommendation is that the pharmacy have been using Titan PMR for a minimum of 8 weeks and are confident in using the system.
When implementing Titan/Atlas the following steps need to be completed initially.
Discuss with the pharmacy the date for enabling and turning on the integration.
Titan requires a minimum of 5 days notice before turning the integration on.
Your will need the pharmacy ODS (NHS) number to turn the integration on.
Explain to the pharmacy that there will be steps required to turn the integration on and a session should be booked in with the pharmacy for the morning of the turn on day to check the integration is working, this requires live prescriptions for 1 of the care homes they service, explain to the pharmacy that these prescriptions should be left in the inbox on Titan for this purpose.
Send an email confirming the date for the integration and attach the Atlas pharmacy download, the download can be added to the desktop of all the pharmacy computers if required.
Create a Licence and log in details for the Atlas pharmacy link in Atlas manager. Log in to Atlas manager and click manage pharmacies.
Search for the pharmacy in the top right hand box.
Click to highlight the pharmacy name and the create USERNAME based on the pharmacy name *in the top right hand box, ie. INVA3\pharmacyname_1. Now click add licence, this will create a password in the box below, ensure you capture this password as once logged out of the system it will not display again.
Send these log in details to the pharmacy.
Once the ODS code for the pharmacy is received and the date for the integration to be turned on is agreed email Titan support at support@titanpmr.com advising them that you are arranging the integration, give details and request the POD number the pharmacy is under with Titan, example below:
Hello Titan,
I am arranging the Titan/Atlas integration for XXXXXXX Pharmacy, ODS code XXXXX and will be switching the integration on at 8am on XX/XX/XX date.
Please could you make any changes to allow this and could you supply me with the POD number for this pharmacy.
Kind regards,
Titan will acknowledge the request and should return the POD number back via email.
On the morning of the integration open Atlas manager and click manager pharmacies.
Search for the correct pharmacy by typing the name in the top left hand box and selecting.
To turn the integration on enter the pharmacy ODS code on the right hand side and copy the http: address for the POD number supplied by Titan in to the Titan API endpoint box. The POD number can not be copied and pasted and needs to be entered exactly as displayed. Once entered click Update.
A pop up message will appear saying Pharmacy records updated.
The integration will now be switched on.
As the pharmacy will not have logged into the system before follow these steps on the morning of turning the integration on during the meeting with the pharmacy via TeamViewer or GoTo.
Ask the pharmacy to download the Atlas pharmacy link to the computer desk top and log into the programme using the log in details sent over.
As this is the first time the programme is logged into you will need to show how to add users and manually verify the programme. The following scree will appear.
Ask the pharmacy to click on ENTER USERS and then click ADD and enter the first name, surname and email address for a pin number to be sent to the user.
Click send pin and ok. Confirm yes to the pop up message to send pin to user. From your side log in to the pharmacy system and change the access level to allow this staff member to add other users.
Now close that pop up box and return to the original screen and click VERIFY CAPA INSTAL.
As there is no equipment required with the Atlas pharmacy programme as all dispensing is done through Titan we need to manually complete the set up checks.
First click on the print test label button.
Now Click START and then LABEL HAS JUST PRINTED.
Then Click SCAN 2D BARCODE.
Enter $1234 in the box and press enter.
Now confirm that the PMR is on the computer and confirm the windows operating system by selecting from the dropdown menu. A PASS should appear in the results box.
The system is now set up and you can move to the Titan/Atlas integration process.
