When is the new authoring interface going live?
When is the new authoring interface going live?
The new authoring interface goes live on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
It will be automatically enabled for all customers who haven't requested a delay.
Can I delay the rollout of the new authoring interface?

Yes. If you need more time to prepare your team, you can request a delay by filling out the form below.
In that case, the new authoring interface will roll out one month after the original release date, around end of June.
Does the new authoring interface apply to all my projects?
Does the new authoring interface apply to all my projects?
The new authoring interface applies to projects already on the new learner experience, as well as any projects created or converted after the activation date.
Projects still running the legacy learner experience will continue to use the old studio until they are converted.
What is the timeline for full migration?

A transition window runs from June through August, giving you time to convert all remaining projects.
π― The goal is to have all projects on the new experience by August 31, 2026.

Nothing changes for learners: the transition is completely seamless on their end.

Will there be an updated onboarding course covering the new authoring interface for our authors?
Yes. Didask provides an onboarding course hosted on a dedicated Didask platform, continuously maintained and updated by our instructional design team.
This course will be updated shortly to reflect the new authoring interface.
β³ Legacy Learner Experience & Project Conversion
What is the legacy learner experience?
What is the legacy learner experience?
It's an older navigation layout, less vertically oriented, that some customers may still have active on certain projects. It's separate from the current learner experience, which has been the standard for over a year.

If you still have projects on the legacy learner experience, yes, you'll need to convert them.
β οΈ As of May 1st, new projects can no longer be created in the legacy experience. Starting May 28th, you won't be able to distribute projects that haven't been converted.
Existing active distributions won't be interrupted, but you can't create new ones until the project has been converted.

Go to your project settings, open the "Vertical Learner Experience" tab, and click "Convert now."
The project will switch to the new learner experience and you'll get access to the new authoring interface right away. π

Absolutely! From the project list, select multiple projects using the checkboxes, then click "Convert projects" to bulk convert them.

No. Conversion doesn't interrupt any active publiations.
Learners simply see the new experience. All completion, progress, and learner data is fully preserved.

The biggest change is a unified editing view that makes authoring much more intuitive.
Instead of jumping between separate granules, everything in a module is now displayed in a single continuous vertical flow, mirroring exactly what learners see.
What does WYSIWYG mean in this context?
What does WYSIWYG mean in this context?
"What you see is what you get": the editing view closely mirrors what learners will actually see.
The layout, order, and visual presentation in the editing view reflect the actual learner view, making course design much more straightforward.
How has the project list changed?
How has the project list changed?
Your project list now works like a standard file browser. You can organize projects into folders and subfolders, filter by owner, and sort much more easily.

Secondary options are now tucked into a streamlined header.
From there, you can access visual customization, recurring character setup, AI generation style, language management, certificates, exports, author permissions, and general settings. All without leaving the project view. π
How does publication management work now?

Publications are now accessible directly from the project view in just one click.
A side panel opens where you can configure distribution settings or add more publications for the same course.
The "View all publications" button lets you see all publications linked to that project.
The "Publications" page is still available for a full view across all your projects.

Can I reorder modules?
Can I reorder modules?
Yes, you can reorder modules using the button on the left side of each module.
Drag and drop is also supported for reordering modules within a chapter or moving them to a different chapter.

You can duplicate a module from one project to another.
Are bulk actions available for modules?
Are bulk actions available for modules?
Yes. Select multiple modules using the checkboxes, and you can duplicate, move, or delete them all in one action.
How do I navigate between granules inside a module?

You can either click a granule in the left-hand menu, or simply scroll through the right panel where all granules are stacked vertically in sequence.
Scrolling past the end of one granule automatically takes you to the next.
Can I preview and test exercises directly in the editing view?

Yes. Interactive exercises can be previewed and tested right in the editing view -- exactly as a learner would experience them.
A dedicated "Edit exercise" button opens a split-screen panel, with the editing form on the left and a live preview on the right.
Can you change the type of an exercise after it has been created?
Can you change the type of an exercise after it has been created?
Yes. You can convert an existing exercise to a different type (for example, from a multiple-choice question to a categorization exercise) directly from the edit view.
In an MCQ exercise, can you have multiple questions in one granule or multiple correct answers?
In an MCQ exercise, can you have multiple questions in one granule or multiple correct answers?
For MCQ exercises, only one correct answer is supported.
Depending on the nature of your question, the "Categorize" exercise type may be a good alternative.
How do I hide a module so it doesn't appear in the publication?

Modules are hidden from the authoring status menu. Hidden modules remain available within the project but are excluded from publications.

Do draft modules and granules appear in the preview?

It depends on which preview mode you select. Draft granules will show with a small banner indicating they're hidden in the published version.
How do I hide a granule?

Click the granule menu and select "Hide from publication." Hidden granules appear grayed out with a label, and won't be visible to learners in publications.

Yes. Renaming is done from the granule menu and only affects the internal display for authors. It has no impact on the learner experience.

The key messages section now appears inline within the granule flow.
The authoring view lets you edit content and see it as learners will, so there's no need to hunt for it in a separate tab anymore.

Flashcards are now edited directly where learners see them, at the end of the chapter.
All flashcards in a chapter are grouped together, making it much easier to review and edit them without switching views.
There was a bug where flashcards would keep looping back to the start of the deck when answering "no." Has this been fixed?

What is the Document block?
The Document block replaces the old PDF block, letting you attach downloadable files to your content. Learners can download the file in just one click.
You can also add a caption to describe the file.
For PDFs, you can also choose to display them inline in a viewer instead of as a download link.

Supported formats include PDF, Word, CSV, Excel, and more.
Each file type is displayed with a matching icon.
What is the maximum file size for the Document block?

The maximum file size is 40 MB.

The List block is a new content block designed for structured item lists.
It comes with multiple layout options: standard bullets, numbered lists (numbers or letters), checkmarks and crosses (great for do/don't lists), stars, warning icons, accordion sections, cards, timeline, and process steps.
Some layouts include subtle animations when displayed to learners.

The Accordion layout is ideal for supplementary or optional content you don't want shown by default.
Learners can expand each section on demand, reducing visual clutter while keeping the content accessible.
What is the Timeline layout for?

The Timeline layout is designed for content that follows a chronological sequence, such as a company history or a project roadmap.
Items are displayed with date labels along a visual timeline.
What is the Steps layout for?

The Steps layout is built for process documentation where content is organized as sequential steps. Each step is numbered and appears with a progressive reveal animation for learners.

Didask uses different AI models depending on the task.
Our learning AI uses an enterprise-grade OpenAI API specifically designed for businesses, with enhanced data protection tailored to professional requirements.

No. Didask has contracts in place with all its AI providers that explicitly prohibit them from using your content to train their models.

Yes. The end-of-module practice and other AI features can be toggled on or off from the platform admin.
What is the end-of-module practice?
What is the end-of-module practice?
The end-of-module practice is an AI-generated sequence of exercises placed at the end of each module.
The AI analyzes all content in the module (videos and PDFs not yet supported) and creates a personalized question sequence that adapts to each learner's level with progressively increasing difficulty.
Is the end-of-module practice only available to customers who have subscribed to the AI assistant?
Is the end-of-module practice only available to customers who have subscribed to the AI assistant?
This feature is available to all customers as part of their existing license.
You can enable it from the platform admin.

The AI currently only processes text content within granules.
Support for videos uploaded directly to Didask is in development (via automatic transcription), with PDF support to follow.

No. The AI only uses content the learner has actually seen when generating questions.
Can I steer the AI if the generated questions are too generic or off-target?

This isn't configurable in the current version.
Our team is building a conversational authoring assistant: once live, you'll be able to give instructions in natural language, specify exercise types, request bulk edits across an entire course, and more.
This is a key initiative expected to roll out over the coming months.
What is the AI image suggestion feature?

Anywhere an image can be added (flashcard, chapter illustration, exercise item, etc.), a button lets you instantly generate an image suggestion based on the surrounding content.
You can regenerate to get different options. If you edit the text, a new suggestion is generated automatically.
Manual search is always available as well.

Will learners be able to submit documents?
Will learners be able to submit documents?
Yes. A new module type called "take home assignment" will be available in the coming weeks.
It lets learners submit their own work (text, file, or video), which a trainer then manually reviews and grades.
Learners will also be able to record a video directly within the activity, which is particularly useful for sales team training (pitches, product presentations, and similar).
Can the satisfaction survey be made mandatory for Qualiopi certification purposes?
Can the satisfaction survey be made mandatory for Qualiopi certification purposes?
Featuring the satisfaction survey prominently in the publication helps maximize response rates, though completing it isn't required for learners to finish the course.
At this time, there's no option to make the survey mandatory.
Can learners rate a module?

Yes. A star rating option can be enabled at the end of each module.
Learners can leave a rating, and the average score is visible in publication statistics.
