Workflow Version History

You can view the version history of any approval workflow in ApprovalMax to track changes over time.

Every workflow version includes the following details:

  • Author – the person who created or last updated the version

  • Creation date – the exact date and time the version was saved

  • Version # – each version’s unique identifier, shown in ascending order

  • Comment – an optional note left by the person who made the change (if provided)

This is how you access the version history of a workflow:

  • In the main menu, select your Organisation and go to Approval workflows under Workflows and settings. Open the workflow you want, then click on the Clock icon in the top right-hand corner of the workflow editor:

  • A list of workflow versions will appear on the right-hand side. The current version is always displayed at the top of the list and marked as Active:



  • Click on any archived version to view its details:

Please note: It's not possible to restore or revert to a previous workflow version — archived versions are read-only.
