When we talk about downgrading a subscription, we refer to modifying the subscription plan to a lower tier or decreasing the permitted number of Organisations within a specific subscription by the Account Owner.
The Account Owner can also cancel a subscription or the entire account.

This is how you downgrade a subscription
Open the Billing & Subscriptions page:
Go to the Subscriptions tab and from the Three-dot menu to the right of the subscription, select "Request a downgrade":
Select "Change plan" and click on NEXT:
Select from the "What is the reason" drop-down list why you want to downgrade your subscription (required field):
Select an entry from the "Specify the details" drop-down list (as required):
Add a comment (optional), then click on SEND:
If you want to switch to a monthly from an annual subscription, add a comment or contact Support.

Open the Billing & Subscriptions page:
Go to the Subscriptions tab and from the Three-dot menu to the right of the subscription, select "Request a downgrade":
Select "Reduce the number of Organisations" under your subscription and click on NEXT:

Go to the Subscriptions tab and from the Three-dot menu to the right of the subscription, select "Request a downgrade":
In the Request a Downgrade pop-up, select "Cancel subscription" and click on NEXT:
Please note: If you cancel your subscription, all Organisations under that subscription will automatically be retired and become available in read-only mode. You'll find the details here: ApprovalMax Terms and Conditions - Retention of your Content.
Please note: The cancellation of subscriptions purchased from the Xero App Store differs and needs to be done on the Xero side.
