Create a new accommodation, edit an existing one, or delete an accommodation from your Amenitiz account.

Overview

This article shows you how to create a new accommodation, edit an existing one, and remove an accommodation from Amenitiz. Accommodations are the rooms or units you sell: they appear on your website, Booking Engine, and connected OTAs.

Use this article when you add a room type, update accommodation details, or retire a unit you no longer sell.

Before you start

  • If you use the Channel manager, your accommodation structure must match the OTA's (for example, 1 Double Room with 5 units on Booking.com should be 1 Double Room with 5 units in Amenitiz).

  • The number of units is set when the accommodation is created. To add or remove units later, contact support@amenitiz.com — adding units beyond your plan may change your subscription price.

  • Deleting an accommodation is irreversible and must be requested by the account owner.

Step-by-step instructions

Create an accommodation

  • In the sidebar, click PropertyAccommodations.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Add a new Accommodation.

  • Fill in the accommodation details (see next section) and click Save.

Edit an accommodation

  • Go to PropertyAccommodations.

  • Click the three-dot icon next to the accommodation and select Edit accommodation.

  • Update the fields you need:

    • Accommodation type — cottage or rooms (for correct channel-manager sync).

    • Name and Description — required and shown on your website.

    • Capacity and Size — optional.

    • Room view — optional.

    • Default price — refine per-date pricing later in Inventory.

    • Booking engine & website visibility — control where the accommodation is sold.

    • Bedding arrangements — required; list bed types and quantity.

    • Amenities — optional (how to add amenities).

    • Accommodation images — optional.

  • Click Save to apply the changes.

📌 Note

Name, Description and Bedding arrangements must be filled in all your active languages, otherwise the accommodation cannot be saved.

Delete an accommodation

Before you request deletion, make sure:

  • The accommodation is no longer sold on your Booking Engine or website.

  • All active and upcoming reservations have been reassigned to another accommodation.

  • Reports that reference the accommodation have been downloaded — their links stop working after deletion.

  • The accommodation has been disconnected from every OTA (Airbnb, Booking.com, and others) from the OTA side.

  • No contractual commitment remains on the accommodation (check SettingsBilling InformationSubscription Summary).

When those conditions are met, the account owner emails support@amenitiz.com from the owner email on file with:

  • The exact name of the accommodation to delete.

  • A clear statement that the conditions above are met.

⚠️ Warning

Deletion is irreversible. Any reservation still linked to the accommodation becomes an overbooking at the top of the calendar until you reassign it.

FAQs

Why won't my accommodation save?

The Name, Description and Bedding arrangements fields are required in every active language on your account. A missing value in any active language blocks the save.

How do I change the number of units of an accommodation?

The unit count is fixed at creation. Email support@amenitiz.com to request an update. If adding units exceeds your current plan, your subscription price will be updated — see Amenitiz Pricing.

Does deleting an accommodation remove it from connected OTAs?

No. Deleting in Amenitiz does not deactivate the listing on Booking.com, Airbnb, or any other OTA. Remove the listing from each OTA's extranet before you delete.

What happens to reservations linked to a deleted accommodation?

Active reservations become "overbookings" at the top of the calendar and appear in the Unassigned Reservations section. Open the reservation and use Switch room to reassign it to an available accommodation.
