What is happening?
The Attribution Model is unable to run because it has no advertising data to analyze. While you may have connected GA4, the model requires at least one active ad platform (such as Google Ads, Meta, or LinkedIn) to attribute conversions to specific marketing efforts.
Error: No ad accounts have been added to this config. The attribution model expects at least one ad account to be added.
Why did this happen?
This error occurs when the Attribution Model configuration is incomplete. Common causes include:
Empty Configuration: The model was created, but no ad accounts were selected during the setup.
Accidental Removal: All previously selected ad accounts were removed from the configuration.
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Navigate to Settings: Open the Attribution Models section in your Alvie dashboard.
Locate the Source: Find the specific model showing the error and click Edit Configuration.
Action: Scroll to the Ad Accounts or Platforms section.
Use the dropdown menu or checkboxes to select the ad accounts you wish to include in this model (e.g., your Meta Business Account or Google Ads CID).
Click Save or Update.
External Steps: If no accounts appear in the list to choose from, you must first connect them under Setup β Data sources.
Verify: Once at least one account is added and saved, return to the model and click Run now. The status should turn Healthy (Green) within a few minutes.
Prevention & Tips To avoid seeing this error again:
Multi-Platform Modeling: For the most accurate results, ensure you add all paid platforms your business uses to the same model so Alvie can properly weigh their performance.
Review After Updates: If you add a new advertising platform to your marketing mix, remember to go back into your Attribution Model settings and add the new account to the existing configuration.
