Creating a gauge widget

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The gauge widget allows you to quickly visualize the performance of an indicator against a given target. It is ideal for tracking key KPIs such as revenue, margin, expenses, or any other relevant data for a practitioner and their client. This type of widget makes it easier to compare actual results with set targets, whether they are static, based on forecasts, or compared to the previous year (N-1).

Steps to Create a Gauge Widget

  1. Switch to edit mode by clicking on the pencil icon at the top right.

  2. Add a new widget.

  3. In step 1, select the Gauge type.

  4. Define the period and data type:

    • Select the analysis period (e.g., monthly, quarterly, annual).

    • Choose whether the data is expressed in amount (€) or percentage (%).

  5. Select the financial indicator to track (e.g., revenue, gross margin, net result).

  6. Define the target and customize the display:

    • Static: Manually set value.

    • Based on forecasts: Comparison with estimated forecasts.

    • Based on N-1: Comparison with the previous year's performance.

    • Choose the widget color for quick identification.

Values Displayed by the Gauge Widget

The gauge widget displays three key values:

  • Main value: The measured indicator, defined when creating the widget.

  • Target: The reference value for comparison.

  • Achieved result (%): The ratio of the achieved target (e.g., 80% of the revenue target reached).

Once configured and saved, the widget is immediately available on your Dashboard for efficient and quick tracking of accounting performance.
