Release 2.6

Updated over 5 months ago

There are a few exciting updates in LAEP+ this month! From new data to new features, check out the details below:

New dataset

We’re excited to bring you a new dataset: Domestic Hydrogen Potential, modelled by the data team at Advanced Infrastructure.

You can use this to easily identify areas with potential for hydrogen use, especially helpful if you’re planning on using this as a vector in your LAEP. Find it in the ‘Renewable Potential’ folder in LAEP+.

New dataset

You can now find the Registered Installations (MCS) dataset in the ‘Energy Assets’ folder.

Use this data to track and map the deployment of low carbon technologies in your area, at LSOA level.

Feature enhancement: Data Stories

In response to your requests, we’re excited to launch the ability to add your uploaded local datasets to Data Stories, making it easier to support your plans and decisions with evidence when sharing with stakeholders.

UI improvements and other small changes

Alongside some general bug fixes and optimisations, we’ve made the following UI changes that you may notice:

  • When an artefact (such as a Project) is shared with you in LAEP+, you currently receive a notification email. We’ve now added a note to that email to let you know which local authority the artefact sits within, to avoid any confusion for users that have access to multiple local authorities.

  • Previously, you may have experienced some difficulty when filtering fields that contain large amounts of data in Portfolios (for example, addresses). We’ve now added a searchable field, so that you can easily find the data you want to select.

  • If you have access to multiple local authorities, you may notice this small change: we’ve sorted the districts and unitary authorities menu by alphabetical order, to make the sign-in process more efficient.
