Introduction

Following the Market Monitor's recent relaunch, we've engaged in numerous meetings with our user base to gather invaluable feedback for enhancing the product. We are thrilled to announce that the latest version, now live, incorporates nearly all the essential elements highlighted during these discussions!

Toggle functionality

One of the most beloved new features, “Toggles”, is now extended across more pages. These toggles let you effortlessly switch between subsections on a given page, enhancing overall usability.

Easily identifiable as a light blue bar within the page, toggles display orange text for the currently selected topic and blue for topics that are available for selection.

Trend analysis

In the latest version, we streamlined the process of conducting trend analyses, making it a straightforward, one-step procedure across various topics, including consumption, trade, and supply dynamics. Additionally, these enhancements have been consolidated within the "Country profile" featured in the "Report & Data exports" section.

Consumption
% Channel split added to ensure that relative changes over time can be tracked and compared.

  • Where to find: “Projection” within the “Consumption menu. Toggling to “% Division”

Trade

The primary feedback regarding the trade section highlighted opportunities for improvement in both 1) conducting trend analyses over time and 2) performing region-to-country analyses. The latest version addresses these by:

Multi Period Trend overview in “Export and “Import”

We've incorporated a toggle allowing you to effortlessly switch between the "Table Overview" and "Multi-Period Trend," providing you with the flexibility to not only observe the current state but also analyze whether it represents a structural trend or a unique scenario.

Within the Price Trends page, we've introduced a toggle feature enabling you to seamlessly transition to a 12-month average overview. This includes a consolidated chart featuring both volume and pricing for a comprehensive analysis.

Region to country trade lane insights

We've frequently received feedback suggesting that trade lanes are better understood not solely through a country-to-country lens but rather from a regional to country perspective because of the way of companies in the market compete (e.g. Europe to Philippines and North America to Philippines).
