The End-Point Assessment (EPA) exam process for the Engineering Design and Draughtsperson standard includes multiple assessment methods, with specific arrangements for online and paper-based components.
Structure of the Assessment
The EPA includes:
AM1 – Includes the S1 Online Multiple Choice Test (MCT)
AM2 & AM3 – Paper-based knowledge tests
These components may be delivered on separate days, depending on scheduling and availability.
AM1: Online MCT (S1)
The S1 MCT is delivered online via the Surpass system
An Assessor acting as an Invigilator must be present for the duration of the exam
AM2 & AM3: Paper-Based Tests
The S2 and S3 knowledge tests are delivered as paper-based exams
These are arranged separately from the online component
