How does a provider reschedule an EPA exam?

L
Written by Lucy Kelford

If a training provider needs to reschedule an End-Point Assessment (EPA) exam, they must request this through the EPA Operations team to ensure the change is managed correctly.

Requesting a Reschedule

To reschedule an exam, the provider should:

  • Email EPA Operations with a request to cancel and/or reschedule the existing booking

  • Include all relevant details, such as:

    • Apprentice name

    • Apprenticeship standard

    • Current exam date

    • Preferred new date(s), if applicable

Providing clear and complete information will help speed up the rescheduling process.

What Happens Next

Once the request has been received:

  • An EPA Coordinator will:

    • Review the request

    • Liaise with the assigned invigilator

    • Arrange a new exam date, subject to availability

Where possible, the coordinator will aim to accommodate the preferred dates provided by the training provider.

Confirmation of New Booking

  • The original booking will be cancelled or updated

  • A new confirmation (e.g. calendar invite or booking update) will be issued with:

    • The revised exam date and time

    • Any updated assessment details

Important Considerations

  • Rescheduling is subject to invigilator availability

  • Requests should be made as early as possible to avoid delays

  • Late changes may limit available options or impact assessment timelines
