How long does a reasonable adjustment or special consideration review take?

L
Written by Lucy Kelford

Once a request for a reasonable adjustment or special consideration has been submitted, it will be reviewed within a defined service level timeframe.

Review Timescales

  • The standard Service Level Agreement (SLA) for reviewing requests is 20 working days

  • This timeframe begins once:

    • The request has been formally submitted, and

    • All required supporting evidence has been received

Requests Requiring Additional Evidence

  • If the initial submission does not include sufficient evidence:

    • Further information may be requested by EAL

  • In these cases:

    • The review process may take longer than 20 working days

    • The timeline will depend on how quickly the additional evidence is provided

Important Considerations

  • To avoid delays, providers should ensure:

    • All forms are fully completed

    • Supporting evidence is clear, relevant, and submitted promptly

  • Requests will not be fully processed until all required documentation is in place
