How can a learner cancel or reschedule EPA, if required?

L
Written by Lucy Kelford

If a learner is unable to attend their scheduled End-Point Assessment (EPA), arrangements can be made to cancel or reschedule the assessment through EPA Operations.

Requesting a Cancellation or Reschedule

If the learner can no longer attend their booked assessment date:

  • They should contact EPA Operations directly via email

  • The request should be made as soon as possible to minimise disruption and allow alternative arrangements to be made

Where appropriate, the training provider may also support or submit the request on the learner’s behalf.

What Happens Next

Once the request has been received:

  • The EPA Operations team will liaise with the allocated Independent End-Point Assessor (IEPA)

  • A new date and time will be arranged, subject to availability

Updating the Booking

  • The original calendar invite will be cancelled

  • A new Outlook invite will be issued to:

    • The learner

    • The assessor

    • The training provider

    • The employer

The new invite will include updated details such as the revised date, time, and location (or virtual link).

Important Considerations

  • Requests should be made promptly to avoid delays or potential issues with assessor availability

  • Rescheduled dates are subject to availability and scheduling constraints

  • Providers should ensure all parties are informed of any changes
