How does a provider submit a learner to gateway?

Written by Lucy Kelford

Submitting a learner to gateway is completed through the ACE360 platform, where all required gateway evidence and documentation are managed.

Accessing the Gateway Section

To begin the process, the training provider should:

  • Navigate to the learner’s profile within ACE360

  • Select the “Progress” tab

Within this section, providers will see a list of gateway components specific to the apprentice’s standard.

Uploading Gateway Evidence

For each listed gateway component:

  • A relevant piece of evidence must be uploaded

  • Evidence should align with the requirements outlined in the standard’s Assessment Plan

  • All documents must be complete, accurate, and meet EAL’s gateway criteria

Examples of evidence may include:

  • Gateway Declaration Form (GDF1)

  • Qualification certificates

  • Portfolio or competency evidence

  • Employer confirmations

Submitting for Review

Once all required components have been uploaded:

  • The provider can submit the gateway for review directly within ACE360

  • The submission will then enter the gateway review process

It is important to ensure all required evidence is included before submitting, as incomplete submissions may result in rejection and delays.
