When will the gateway be reviewed after submission?

L
Written by Lucy Kelford

Once a gateway submission has been completed, it will be reviewed promptly to ensure there are no delays to the apprentice’s progression to end-point assessment.

Review Timescales

  • Gateway submissions are reviewed within 2 working days of submission

  • During this time, EAL will check that all required documentation and evidence have been provided and meet the necessary criteria

Possible Outcomes

Following the review, the gateway submission will result in one of the following outcomes:

  • Approved

    • The apprentice is confirmed as approved for EPA

    • They can proceed to end-point assessment

  • Rejected

    • There are issues with the submission that need to be addressed before approval can be granted

If a Gateway Is Rejected

If a gateway submission is rejected:

  • A rejection note will be added within ACE360

  • The note will be linked to the relevant documents and will clearly outline:

    • What information is missing or incorrect

    • What amendments are required

Training providers should review this feedback carefully and:

  • Make the necessary corrections

  • Resubmit the gateway as soon as possible to avoid delays
