Training providers may continue to register apprentices on a standard that EAL has announced it will be withdrawing from, up until the official end date for registrations set by EAL.
When EAL makes the decision to opt out of a standard, it will:
Continue to deliver end-point assessment (EPA) for that standard during a defined transition period
Clearly communicate a final registration deadline to all customers and partners
Before this deadline:
Training providers are still able to register new apprentices onto the standard with EAL
EAL will continue to accept and process registrations as normal
After this deadline:
EAL will no longer accept any new registrations for that standard
Providers will need to select an alternative end-point assessment organisation (EPAO) for any new starts
It is important to note that:
Apprentices already registered before the cut-off date will still be supported through to completion, in line with EAL’s EPA delivery commitments
The transition period is designed to allow sufficient time for providers to plan and adjust their delivery arrangements
